on the one hand, like a lot of people from my generation, I’m pretty conflicted about selfies. I like my own selfies when they’re funny, but I always feel a little embarrassed to be taking pictures of myself. it’s just how I am. I never posed for an official press photo until I was on a label where it was just a done thing. I don’t like to be photographed.
on the other hand, absolutely everybody with a camera takes selfies, whether they’re conflicted about it or not. it is just something people do now, including me. I don’t look at mine much (ever)– they’re usually things I’m sending as jokes to my bandmates or to my family while I’m on tour, or to Twitter, sometimes. but I do have em. and so without further unnecessary dealay, by request of @existentialgrl, here are my top 6 selfies of 2015, which I haven’t picked yet, and am going to pick somewhat at random over the next three minutes.
