hey remember when middle class green types kept telling us labour were just ‘austerity lite’

it’s funny cos if we had ‘austerity lite’ now:

  • bedroom tax would be gone
  • benefit sanctions would be overhauled
  • £1bn, instead of £52 bn would be cut
  • £12bn of welfare wouldnt be cut, fundamentally altering the welfare state
  • the £3k student grants for the poorest students wouldnt be cut (you know, the thing keeping me in education lmao!!)
  • 500,000 public sector jobs wouldnt be slashed
  • rent would be capped
  • social housing would be built instead of sold off under new right to buy
  • housing benefit for under 21s wouldnt be banned, meaning young vulnerable ppl wouldnt be at threat of homelessness
  • non doms would be banned from buying up the housing market, inflating the housing market to the point house prices are now 11x the avg. wage
  • i’d probably have a future 🙂

Imagine.

a labour government would be preferable to a conservative government but its still just choosing the slightly lesser of two evils and how anyone can still support them when they said they’ll renew trident (which would cost billions) but continue austerity measures is absolutely disgusting to me

i’ll take “middle class green types” who voted green based on policies that are actually about helping people over labour voters trying to pretend that labour are still a party for the people any day of the week, down with red tory scum

Hey look, Labour lackeys telling us they need the fabled Middle Class to save us their constituency from the Governments those constituencies voted for…

Big laughs by the way if you think the Middle Class in the UK vote for anybody EXCEPT the Conservative Party or the Labour Party doing their very best impression of them.
