Photographer Andy Prokh, based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, has been photographing his daughter Katherine growing up alongside their British Shorthair, a curious fellow named LiLu Blue Royal Lada. From a serious round of chess to mind-boggling arithmetic, telescope gazing to the inevitable grooming, the pair have developed a magical bond from living their whole lives together. These black and white portraits capture their individual personalities and their intimate ties of friendship ever so beautifully. In an interview, Andy Prokh mentioned how he, ’likes to take photos of them because I love them both and I’ve always believed a photographer must love what he shoots’. Aww.. How very sweet..
